Gear is the most important when deployed

Soldiers who are deployed say that it is important to gear yourself with mission specific gear and only carry what is needed...

They say when deployed for the first time, you may not know exactly what your assignment will be until you get there so get most of your gear when you get into the country.

This is great advice for soldiers deploying to Afghanistan and other countries in the world and even though everything you may want or need is often available at most bases, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a few items in advance.

One piece of gear that always seems to make a soldier’s job more effective is a multi-tool.

A Patriot Outfitters Review - Remington 700P vs Watermelon

 

We had a great time shooting this review of the Remington Sniper 700P vs watermelon using the RAM .308 AMAX Ammo.

It was no suprise that the .308 round from the Remington 700P would make a big mess. The "hydrostatic shock" from the high velocity projectile developed pressures from the moment of impact and left very few fragments for us to show and tell about.

... also, the Indiana Jones style header graphic used on the shoot page and on this spread was fun to design.
